Malvern Hills Coppice Network

Welcome to the Malvern Hills Coppice Network

The Malvern Hills Coppice Network is a group of coppice craftsmen, woodland owners, managers, conservationists and green woodworkers, all committed to the restoration of coppice woodlands in the Malvern Hills area.

Our members offer a wide range of coppice products and services, woodland craft courses and volunteering opportunities. Please take time to explore our website for services or products you may need.

We are a friendly bunch, and are keen to encourage people of all ages to get involved in this traditional form of woodland management. Experience is not necessary, and we would love to share our knowledge and enthusiasm with you.

Latest News

The Malvern Hills Coppice Network Volunteer Group has received a grant of over £3000 from the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The grant is part of the AONB’s Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) and will help the voluntary group purchase new tools such as bow saws, billhooks, secateurs, loppers, brush hooks and safety equipment.

If you are young or old and want to burn off some of those calories for free, then why not come along to one of our work parties. We meet regularly, stout footwear and a packed lunch are all that is required apart from enthusiasm. No experience is necessary and all tools will be provided.

For more information about the work parties or the volunteer group email Phil Hopkinson.

We would like to acknowledge the support of the Malvern Hills AONB, without whose help we would not be able to further develop traditional skills and increase the availability of local coppice products.
